Dwight Yorke - Come & Save Torquay United Football Club!
Former Aston Villa and Trinidad & Tobago star Dwight Yorke recently lamented the lack of opportunity given to BAME (Black And Minority Ethnic) people within football.
My message to Dwight is that at Plainmoor there is a fantastic opportunity for him off the pitch - if he, along with friends and associates, can get rid of our crooked owners Gaming International.
Gaming International sold off Bristol Rovers' former ground, Eastville, which left them homeless for over 10 years and meant that they had to ground-share with Bath City. They are crooks and swindlers and want to cash in on Plainmoor Stadium as an asset to sell off.
Should Dwight and a BAME business consortium be able to see them off, they will be guaranteed legendary status in the town of Torquay and they will be able to give chances to local youngsters and also BAME players from London or further afield who could use Torquay United as a stepping stone towards bigger and better things. Imagine a Dwight Yorke/Ian Wright/Leroy Rosenior/Les Ferdinand/Keith Curle/Rio Ferdinand etc. consortium which could take Torquay United back to the Football League!
So come on Dwight, this is a fantastic opportunity for you and BAME people in football to make a big difference and go down in history as club saviours!
