The council confirmed that Dewars Track is officially reopening. Keep an eye on the entrance over the coming weeks to ensure the council follows through on their promise.
This petition will be presented to council to re-open the entrance to Dewars Track.
Please sign this petition to show support for the local community and recreational users of the track. With this track now closed there are many things to consider that will be discussed with the City Of Wannerooo to compromise and have the track re-opened.
We just hit 2,500 signatures on the Dewars Track petition. Email your City of Wanneroo representatives today and demand that they meet with us to discuss reopening the entrance.

i have surfed Derrs for 30 years and seen many attempts to block the track. Closing the track is not going to solve the problem as people will keep finding ways around. if all of a sudden it is a problem then you need to find a way to manage it.

I think its time to introduce the same regeme as Yeagarup with passes so the money can be used towards maintaining the park, keeping all the trashers out also needs addressing most ppl respect the park and these few are ruining it for all.

Killing a town that is an already dying no boat ramp no facilities upgrades what next we love and respect our beaches !! My wife's Cafe Salacias suffered a 65% loss in takings this weekend!! Is the City of Wanneroo going to subsidise her???

If we closed every bit of road or track with safety concerns Perth drivers wouldnt have anything left. The council spent all that money putting bituman on the entrance and warning signs throughout only to close it now? Seems a bit of a waste.

We moved up here so we would be closer to the fishing and 4x4 outdoors lifestyle we enjoy. Not only are locals suffering but businesses are doing it tough with the boat ramp closed and now the tracks closed there seems to be no point in staying here

Awesome place for 4x4 and fishing. Be a shame to close it and will take a lot of business from the local shopping centre. Also poses a safety risk for fires and personal injuries on the beach if emergency services can't even get in there!
