Dunkmaster has been a fan favorite skin owned by one champion: Darius. Whether you were dominating top lane with the legendary dunk skin or if you were victim to his Darius’ wrath, all fans appreciate the hard work Riot employees put into making this wonderful skin.

When Dunkmaster Darius came out, the fans were thrilled, and it came out with a beautiful trailer that excited all types of League of Legends fans. We had already started to imagine the capable competitors that could challenge Darius in Summoner’s Rift and on the court.

It’s almost been five years since Dunkmaster Darius was released, and we have since then anticipated the continuation of the Dunkmaster skin line. And then, it finally happened.

And we couldn’t be more disappointed.

Ivern has been a complicated champion when it comes to popularity. He was newly released at the end of 2016, and he came with a joke skin, titled “Candy Cane Ivern.” And, yes, it was cute, but we were excited for serious skin. Jump ahead yet again to 2019, and Ivern finally gets a second skin, and it’s Dunkmaster.

We, the fans, have been hoping for a long time that a great Dunkmaster skin would be released for a champion who already has a dunk-like animation in their ability kit like Darius. Yes, Ivern is tall like a basketball player, and yes, the Dunkmaster skin line is considered more of a “joke”, but this “Dunkmaster” Ivern does not compare to the intensity that is Dunkmaster Darius.

Yes, we want a skin for Ivern, a champion who has not had a skin in a long time, but this skin liner is not suitable for him. Please reconsider releasing a Dunkmaster skin for a champion who truly deserves the REAL title of “Dunkmaster.”

And for Ivern, he may not be the most popular champion, but like every other League of Legends character, he does hold a special place in a lot of peoples’ hearts. He deserves a skin with thought, care and love that more accurately matches his thematic.
