We, the citizens and taxpayers of Monroe, are opposed to the building of a recycling center on the former property of Stevenson Lumber, and petition the P&Z to deny the application by AMEC of Norwalk, CT to rezone the location from a DB-2 to accommodate the building of this recycling center.
We call upon the First Selectman, the EDC, and the P&Z Commission to allow businesses into Monroe that best reflect the needs of the town instead of being penny wise, pound foolish.
