I speak as a life long Democrat from the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party. We as Democrats lose when we take Red State elected officials and paint them Blue just so we can claim a majority, a majority that melts like snow on a Montana summer day. Progressive Democrats can't back off the Public Option even if we loose right now and what we have to do is dump those unprincipled Blue Dogs. They worry about keeping their seats by keeping the Republicans happy They should have much more to fear from losing their seats for betraying the principles of the Democratic Party.
