I live across from the new school and I've witnessed a father and daughter nearly get hit by a car in the crosswalk. They're got to have a police officer in the area before and after school.

The playground is WAY too small considering they put 2 big schools and merged together. Also a light seems like a smart idea that was horribly missed or ignored.

As a Dumas Texas Tax payer and a concerned parent. These kids need a big safe playground for all kids to play. The streets that surround this school are super dangerous. More safety should be emphasized.

My child is no longer on school, but thid astounds me. More time and especially care for the children should have been taken. Why was this do important to get it done without thinking it's through? Was a new school so necessary children were out at risks without enough room? Was a new school so important it almost makes parents impossible to put pickup their children? Was a new school so necessary to be built before the childrens' lives their parents' lives to be stake to to the traffic issue. One more thing, education is being compromised due to lack of space and fear of traffic when they come and leave school. Care should have taken time to address all issues before construction. I don't know exactly who made these decisions, but how sad. Glad my son is no longer in DISD.

I have been saying all of this since school started! maddox is so dangerous when school starts and when it’s over. I am honestly surprised there hasn’t been an accident yet. I saw a child almost get taken down by a car the other day. My poor 5 year old has come home with a sunburn several times already. Something has to be done.
