We, the undersigned, petition Duke University and Nike to revert its Basketball Uniforms to templates used before 2005. The blue (road) and white (home) uniforms should not have black trim, as it is not a University color. The blue should be identical or very close to Duke Blue (listed as PMS 287 in Duke records). Holograms should be removed. Duke has a classic uniform, similar to those worn by Penn State in football. Adding black and making the blue a brighter shade of royal detracts from the Duke image and is not part of our school history. We, the fans, feel that our uniforms were the best when they are a simple Duke Blue and White, and we respectfully request that Duke remove the black trim from the (Duke) blue and white uniforms.
