street performing is as much a tourist attraction as museums, castles etc. it shows the culture of the city and the people who live in it. I think there so much more important things the police and government could be putting there resources and energy into.

We need the buskers in Dublin Dublin won't be the same ever if use take them away that's why everybody goes there to see buskers playing.

To ban such a brilliant stage for up and coming performers would be insane. It's one of the best parts of coming to Dublin. It's a brilliant platform for artists to have their voice heard

To say that this rule is beyond stupid is an understatement. Get a grip DCC - you're taking the effing piss. Stifling creative talent and destroying a tradition that is HUNDREDS of years old. Wise up!

Busking is an integral part of Dublin, of its identity and its touristic appeal. It should be kept and protected, as the vital side of Dublin's existence it is.
