Parsons promises small class sizes, and yet the school cancelled the other section of our thesis class with no warning and put our entire year into one class. This was unexpected as in in our Sophomore and Junior years our core classes were split into two. Thesis is the most important class we will take during our degree, and we currently are not getting the support we need. Furthermore, the classes are not a good use of time because we have far too many presentations to go through due to how many students are in the class. After becoming aware of the situation the school declined to reopen the other section. While Kyle Li, the Director of Design and Technology, and the thesis professor, Ernesto Klar, are trying to help us fix the issue by occasionally holding another class per week, this is still unsuitable as many of us have other commitments and we should not have to "make do" with the big class size when we pay extremely high tuition. One of the reasons we came to Parsons is because we were promised small class sizes, and it's unacceptable that our entire year is in one thesis class.
