As Desert Sands parents and concerned community members, we are very disheartened with the behavior of the Desert Sands Unified School District. Our teachers deserve a fair contract settlement and it is appalling that they are still working without a contract for this school year.
With the increased revenue from the state, it is my expectation that the DSUSD does what is best for kids and teachers NOW. Recruiting and retaining our quality teachers should be the priority along with smaller class sizes and ample time and resources to prepare for our children's instruction.
Our kids deserve better than this. I am united with our hardworking teachers and ask that you do what is necessary to resolve this contract dispute for our community!
