Are you all aware that the Sheaton is now the Early College HIGH SCHOOL and also houses one of the University Residential Halls? The old ballrooms are multi-purpose classrooms now (??). Alum having a petition for a party is embarrassing. In fact the amount of money dumped into Dover's economy rather than being written in checks to the University during the Homecoming is pretty embarrassing. Wanting to come back and see friends is GREAT. But if DSU is the focus...let the donating begin!!! How about a petiton to get space for a professional networking and career starter for young alum??? -Proud/Donating Alum

I saw this tagged on a friends page and felt compelled to respond. You all also have the choice to not go, this has to be the dumbest petition I have ever seen. To complain about where a "party" is taking place and to request it be moved several days prior is absurd. It is not about the venue, but about the alumni who will be there and celebrating. For those of you who state you are alumni of DSU, I would expect that your grammar would be much better.

As an alumni of Delaware State University I am requesting that our alumni party gets moved to a different location. I would prefer the Sheraton ballroom.

I'll be traveling from Atlanta GA as an Alumna for two years , Bubbas is a place I had never even visited when I was in college... And it's definitely not a place I would want to come for a reunion with my colleagues. We're better than this and we deserve a more upscale venue.

My first homecoming as an alumni and I believe the choice of venues are horrible. I'm rather disappointed no very disappointment . We deserve better!
