This is a petition to the Communist Party of Canada, urging them to immediately, or as soon as realistically possible, drop the name "Communist Party of Canada" and and adopt a name that better suits their modified ideology, which in no way reflects, even closely, the ideology that K. Marx and F. Engels envisioned almost 150 years ago. We ask that the leadership of the Communist Party of Canada do this out of respect for the name of Communism, and that they do so calmly and responsibly. By signing this petition I affirm that I am a follower of the communist ideology, and that my stance on this matter comes from a communist perspective, as advocated by Karl Marx and Frederick Engels.
