It's past time to better balance water for fisheries and people. For years there has been too much water pumped from the Delta and too little left for fish and other estuary needs. The Water Board has spent 4+ years to scientifically determine what is needed. Stop the lawsuit and focus on how to adapt, like the rest of us in California has had to do. Support the Bay Delta Water Plan. Stop the lawsuit and move to be more efficient.

Please drop this lawsuit. We must all become better stewards of our environment.

The state has promised 5 times more water than the rivers can provide...that is the fundamental problem. Until there is a proper quantification of the real consumptive water available we are stuck with “paper water”...a wish and a prayer. C-win.org

I work in designing, installing and maintaining climate-appropriate and habitat-friendly gardens. My clients and I are motivated by helping the environment and living more sustainably on this planet. The precipitous decline in salmon populations in our state rivers and subsequent starvation of orcas is just one indication that we are grossly mismanaging our precious water resource. The Bay Delta Water Quality Control Plan addresses this mismanagement. Drop the lawsuit!

Bay Delta Water Quality Plan spreads the mitigation of fishery declines to all upstream water users instead of just shutting down the South Delta pumps for the SWP & CVP, where you get most of your imported water. Why would you sue the State to stop that???

We need to move into the 21st century QUICKLY because over pumping the Delta because degraded water quality is already here. More fresh water must flow ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE BAY-DELTA ESTUARY into the ocean to avoid a calamity that we can't even comprehend.

People conserve water to benefit the environment, but the water we conserved during the last drought was just hoarded behind dams and had to be dumped during the heavy rains of 2017. The Tuolumne River experienced one excessively good year at the expense of five terrible years. The SFPUC needs to be a better steward of the river that sustains us.

Let's manage water use, not rely on so much water from 160 miles away. I moved here from Massachusetts 10 years ago; there was more water-demand management in that wet state than there is here.

I don't live in the district but help people there conserve and I know how concerned about the environment they are. Drop the lawsuit and support the rivers!

It is time to wake up and conserve, not to sue over perfectly reasonable conservation plans. We are reducing our use and can do more. Valley Water needs to get with the program, not hang on to outmoded thinking.

Meaningful stewardship of our water resources requires protection of natural resource values. Valley Water needs to drop the lawsuit, and fully embrace its stewardship responsibilities.

The State Water Board plan is a reasonable compromise for the environment that is based on sound science. I would be wary of being seduced by misguided "leadership" and the outright lies that are being perpetuated by agencies like the SFPUC and MID/TID. Valley Water is better than stooping to that level. Please step up and drop the lawsuit.

Water is life to many species, not just ours. I conserve, thinking of others. You disappoint me with the selfish attitude that humans should have more than our share.

The State Water Board created a sensible, responsible plan. It is an irresponsible move by Valley Water to try to block it, wasting taxpayer dollars in the process.
