We, as patrons of the above mentioned facility, request that “The Greater City of Dandenong” Council urgently consider constructing 1 or 2, “Drop Off/ Pick up” parking bays close to the front entrance, for incapacitated users of Oasis (Max. 5 minutes)

We consider that Council is discriminating against many users of this facility, who (through no fault of their own) are limited in their ability to walk too far, by not allowing them

– short term- parking access close to the door, and causing stress to them and others, who risk the receipt of a parking infringment fine, each time patrons are dropped off at the “Oasis”, or alternatively the expense of taxi fares when they are dropped off near the front door.

Many times all the “disabled parking” spaces are in use, which forces these patrons to be dropped off further away from entrance than is necessary. The Complex has great facilities for School children by allowing buses to drop them off past main door for entry via a side access to the building, but cannot afford the same for others

We believe that by implementing this change, all patrons will be treated equally and the parking will be readily available to all, not just able bodied patrons.
