I think that no one should drive with any amount of Alchohol inside them.

Stephen, I totally agree with you 100%. I don't drink at all and I'm living with an alcoholic. This is very hard. His father passed away at the age of 48 years old because of liver cancer. I did get him to quit for almost 3 years. But, unfortunately, it didn't last. He only drinks at home, and very rarely, he wants to go and meet up with his friends on Friday's. I drive him there and go and pick him up. I live in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, and here too, phone and drinking is not tolerated at all. Which I'm so happy. When they started really pounding on talking on cell phone's, my granddaughter had called me and I kept on telling her that I was driving and couldn't talk. She was only 7 years old then and didn't really understood. There was a policeman that was at least 5 cars in front of me, but he seen me. I ended up with a $150.00 ticket. I showed it to my granddaughter and explained to her that nobody could talk when they are driving. Then went on to talk to her about it causing accident and we could really hurt somebody. (I didn't want to tell her kill somebody at that age). But, she then understood. When the policeman told me that I could go to court and try to fight it, I just told him "No, I know I was in the wrong and was trying to tell my granddaughter that I couldn't talk. But, I deserve this ticket and refused to fight it". Then last year, in a little town outside of Sudbury (called Hanmer). There were 3 15 years old kids standing by the bus pick-up. It was early morning, but still. This man that was very drunk ran into those poor three teenagers, killing all three, then ran into a house. He only got 8 years. Everybody here are very upset about this because it was not his first time. I think he should have been charged for manslaughter and went to jail for years, just as if he had murdered them.
For you Stephen, I'm so sorry to hear about your story. That was a very bad tragedy. Now I know why you write and sing this beautiful poems/lyric

where do you want me to start about drink drivers?it maddens me so much they get away with murder,when technically they have committed murder a vehicle is an offensive weapon yet so light sentences wheres the justice system,i have not even started,,sorry

Drink drivers should be banned for life,and people who knowingly get in a car with someone they know is over the limit should face prosecution as well.
