This month my wife & I will travel from CT to Chatham for my 59th consecutive year. As always, our extended family (ages 7y to 72y) will come with us. We moor our boat at the Mill Pond & all maintenance, repairs & storage are performed expertly by OHM. Without the ability to use the channel - sometimes multiple trips in one day - we will end our over 1/2 century love affair with Chatham. PLEASE - for the sake of Chatham's residents & visitors, allow & expedite the dredging project! Thank you! Harry Werner & family

Re-opening the channel from Outermost makes sense on all levels. As for many others, access to North and South beach, Monomoy, and Nantucket Sound has been a central part of my Chatham experience over the last 60 years. The marina, ever since the Horne brothers operated it, has been an economic engine for Chatham. I support allowing needed dredging.

In the present conditions, the window for the use of our boat is narrowed to approximately 3 hours per day around high tide. Outside of that window, it is often even too shallow to kayak. Please allow OHM to dredge to keep our channel and access to the bay and ocean open.

I support dredging this channel as it is dangerous to cross the bar as it is and it needs to be fixed!

Accessing remote beaches, fishing off Monomoy are some of the main reasons I come to Chatham. The status of the channel is severely limiting this activity and could put stranded boaters trying to get back into the harbor at risk in the event of bad weather. Please allow dredging of the channel.

I have been coming to the little beach area for 58 years. I started boating to north beach with my grandfather in his wooden boat with a 2 horse power motor and have been boating out of the outermost harbor area ever since. My kids grew up doing the same and I am hoping my future grandchildren will have the same opportunity. The channel is almost entirely impassible. I would imagine the income this water access provides the town is significant.

OMH is not only one of the best Marina's for many to enjoy, it also brings in a substantial amount of revenue to the town. Allowing the dredging would be an asset to all, Please allow the project to continue .

My husband Michael Schumacher has been coming to Chatham to spend the summer all of his life. We not have a boat at Outermost and want to keep it there. We are asking that you support the dreding....

Dredge the channel, so we can continue to support all our local businesses that are woven into the fabric of the marina. Perk to wake up, NCO for gear, Fisherman’s Daughter for threads, Macs for Poke, The Nun and Squire to meet up with friends at the end of the day, Bluefins for Sushi, Hangar B when it’s a slow morning - OHM is a town treasure for family, friends and out of town visitors looking for the best outdoor experiences Chatham has to offer!
