we actually did it, the planning board rejected the project and the townhouses wont be built. i am so relieved that our neighborhood is staying the way it is and i cant thank you enough for sticking with me on this.

Final supporters
Parkers Point neighborhood is going to be ruined by Dream homes. They failed 4 years ago with a 58 townhouses 2 bedroom. Planning board suggests going smaller. They Failed again four years ago.
Now 4 years later they are trying to put a mini town behind us. With NOW 68 townhouses 3 bedrooms now.
This will add at least 272 people in a small area plus over 400 cars cramped it. They have no plans for parking, snow removal & garbage. These townhouses has a garage that you can drive into but not open car door fully. Which most likely will lead to them making into 4 bedroom and nothing is stopping the new owners. THESE plans now have an entire walking path included from Woodlawn dr to Salt spray is what we were told. So the 200ft isn't really even protect. We will be lucky to have 50ft. This walking path will invite anyone from route 9 to walk right to our backyards. This project will affect our entire neighborhood. Whose stopping from walking past us to you. Security of this neighborhood will be gone.

we are getting so high on these signatures and it really shows how much everyone cares about our neighborhood. please keep pushing because we really need to show up to the meeting with enough people to make them listen.

Now way,I live on Barnacle and they already blow thru all the stop signs.If I get broadsided leaving my driveway the accident we'll be the last thing the police well have to worry about
Developers are in the business to make money and the overcrowding,under funded schools and over taxed resources they leave in their wake are not their problem,it becomes the problem of the community they just destroyed.
I moved here for the nature and small town feel. As a real estate agent I have relocated many here for the same reason... don't ruin something good!
The recent influx of people into Lacey and all the new development has made traffic horrendous and I have seen a serious amount of unsafe driving recently, even in the off summer season. These new townhomes will add to an already bad situation in our town. I chose this town because it was nice to raise a family in. It is turning into a mini Tomsriver or Bricktown.
The traffic is horrible already. Where are these families going to place their children into our already bulging school systems.?
Stop builing in the pine lands!
What a beautiful parcel of Land! This natural acreage is an essential plot to our local eagles, osprey, hawks, frogs ,amphibians and other wildlife that inhabit this parcel and the riverfront. This is one of the last tracts that can accomodate our local habitat along the Middle Branch of the Forked River! Have any studies been done to see the impact that this development will have on our environment? It is such a beautiful natural area, has the township consided purchasing it? This would be a great location for a park named after Mr. Parker. The county has purchased pristine properties within Lacey as well. Enos Park is a perfect example, another possibility. The Federal Government has also purchased natural acreage within Lacey. These parcels have been added to the Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. Another possibility to keep our environment healthy and compentate the seller. Have you ever noticed the Lacey Township Seal. It has three symbols on it. On the top is a sailboat. This symbol represents the clean waterways and boating activities within our township. The next is an atom, representing the now defunct power plant and the third is a pheasant, a symbol of the old pheasant farm on Rt.9. The Federal Government purchased this property and it is now part of the Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. Two of the symbols are no longer relevant to our township. How long will it be before we no longer have access to the environment which drew us to Lacey many years ago. Think the seal may have to be changed to a car for traffic, a row of attached townhouses for overcrowding, and a red X over the sailboat! Just my thoughts!

There's no way 2 lane Route 9 will be able to handle a development like this. I was told years ago (by then Committeeman Lou Amato) that Lacey was nearly at it's "build out" point. Don't count on it folks. Be careful where you empty the sand out of your shoes when you get home from the beach. A developer will get dibs on it and start building immediately!
