The first novel my mother gave to me. It's important to me. Let's adapt it to film.
It is beyond time to turn these books into live action movies. The animated "Dragons of Autumn Twilight" did not do this amazing story justice.
While the animated movie, Dragonlance, was ahead of its time. Now would be the ideal time to do a live action series. Technology has finally advanced enough to give proper justice to the characters- particularly Raistlan. Moreover science fiction has never been more popular than now.
The animated film did not do the books justice. If the film/sound crew from The Lord of the Rings could do the film with actors that we all recognize and love. I would ask that you stay as close to the original story. Don't screw it up like you did with Eragon. We fans have been reading these novels for years and most of us won't pay to watch the slaughter of yet another novel done by Hollywood.
These movies could be the best series ever if they were made right, with a good budget and the right people. Peter Jackson, Steven Spielberg, or James Cameron could make them and they would rival Lord of the rings.
the movies could be epic
I have loved these books since I was a kid. These stories deserve a quality depiction on film, of which the animated movie does not qualify.

Like star wars if they started with the twins trilogy I guarantee it would bring in more than enough to pay for full fledged star casted versions of every book in the series
