This would be an awesome source of entertainment and fun for the whole family. Not just the bars for the adults or a semi arcade. We need something besides just the horse arena. Bring on real horsepower!!!!

This would be the best place for the strip and we’d definitely go out to support this type of racing events.

Fantastic and fun thing to do. As a retired state trooper and law enforcement author, I fully support this.

As a police officer, I have seen the tragic outcomes of illegal street racing. People are going to race. You can't stop that. You can, however, organize, regulate, and set things up to allow racing in a much safer environment. I signed this petition to support such an effort - a much safer environment.
I am also a car enthusiast. My wife would say I am a car addict. I have participated in organized driving events, similar to what is being proposed here. I also helped organize and run some of these events. I can personally attest that events properly run can be both fun, safe, and compatible with the surrounding area. True, not everyone will be happy. There will be some negativity. There always is. There is even some negativity for local high school sporting events or larger entertainment gatherings. Such events are good events, in spite of the negatives. This is no different. I can also personally attest that for one such event I helped organize near a residential neighborhood, that most of the initial concerns from the residents never actually materialized. In fact, many residents stated afterwards that they had no problem with similar events being held in the future.
I stringly feel this racing event should be allowed. Give it a chance. A real chance. The first one will likely not go very smoothly. Give the organizers the opportunity to learn and improve before passing final judgement. Allow for changes as they get more feedback and work to improve. Who knows, this could become a nice drawing event for the Ciry of Rock Springs. You could even, become a model for other cities in the region.

It would be a good activity to bring the community together and something to build goals to.
