I support Dr. Aghamohammadi as Chief Wellness Officer. She has a full life outside of her work as an intensivist and would have perspective for those of us searching for such balance.

I have known Dr. Aghamohammadi since she was a resident, which is when she started her interest in wellness. Over the years I have watched her evolve her thoughts and plans around it, as well as developing her leadership skills. She would be an excellent Chief Wellness Officer.

Dr. Aghamohammadi has been involved with physician wellness for many years. Shortly after arriving at UCD, as a junior faculty, she lead debriefing activities after critical events for our pediatric residents. This interest and her involvement in physician and staff wellness has steadily increased. She is an enthusiastic, experienced, knowledgeable, innovative and compassionate leader who, I believe, can take the office of physician wellness further.

Dr. Aghamohammadi is an excellent candidate for Chief Wellness Officer and brings a fresh perspective to wellness in medicine. As a physician who has dealt with burnout in the fast-paced ICU, she knows firsthand how important wellness and resilience is in medicine. She is an excellent team leader and advocate for patients and residents/students.

Dr Aghamohammadi is particularly qualified for this given she not only incorporates wellness into the daily routine of rounds for herself, her colleagues, and all learners, but she does this in a specialty objectively known to have some of the highest rates or burnout and fatigue in medicine. This makes it all the more essential and special to have her as a leader of wellness in the PICU, and thus makes her specifically and uniquely deserving for the role of chief wellness officer to help promote well-being hospital-wide.

Dr. Aghamohammadi was a pioneer for wellness during her residency. She advocated for wellness sessions for residents and put herself out on a limb to support them, when the program was being mocked by leadership. She has the best combination of courage, compassion, and personal understanding of the struggle that comes with medical training and practice. She is the real deal with no ego in the race.
