Upon registering for classes, students per major are required to take Physical Science. For some students this course may be easy to comprehend but for others it requires tedious work, and special study tactics that could add testing anxiety while trying to maintain the expected GPA for scholarships, advancement to higher courses, and graduation. On the first day of Dr. Pullikathara's class we thought the course was going to be just as hard as it is to pronounce her name, but she reassured her students that her goal was to help understand the information and not to discourage us. She held true to her words by extending numerous torturing hours, going over homework and test corrections so we could learn from our mistakes, demonstrating entertaining concepts with class participation, and even encouraging her students to not be afraid of taking chances, asking questions, and putting in your best to provide a better future outcome towards our goals. We, the students of Prairie View A&M, find value in her teaching and wish that the University would continue to extend her teachers contract for 2020-2021 and furthermore, to help guide and mentor students into graduation and beyond.

Why is this a petition?? I’ve never had Dr. P as my science professor but I have been blessed on many occasions for her tutoring. She should be last science professor we are petitioning for. She was more helpful than the other science professors I’ve actually had. Don’t lose quality instructors. PV is known for making these bad moves.

She is a great professor! I am so grateful to have had someone like her as a professor. I never cared for science but she made it easy and fun!

She’s such a great teacher. This woman is the definition of caring & helpful. She honestly cares more about the students and their well being before hers. She’s also stayed late nights just to help students with homework/class work. Not to mention, she helps even when your not in her classes anymore. Overall a wonderful woman.

She’s a very great professor. I lost my way within school and she pulled me back together and pushed me!! After that I overcame every obstacle!

I had her and she turned my life around! I was a failing student but this professor helped me believe in me when I didn’t. If for her to leave PV would be a mistake by the university. It would show the students that PVAMU does not care about us at all!

I’ve enjoyed all of my professors so far however, Dr.Pulikkathara has showed the most passion and support and I think she should still be able to be a professor at Prairie View A&M University for the sake of the students
