I was a Music Education major at St. Augustine's from 1993-1997. Dr. Jeffreys took the time to work with me and help guide me on my career path. Even after graduation, he continued to support me in my teaching. He visited my school in Wilson and gave input and guidance all along the journey. I know for a fact that he supported many of us. He has quite the "coaching tree." I would not have had the success that I did without Dr. Jeffreys. Naming the band room after him is the least that the university could do to mark the lasting legacy that Dr. Harold L. Jeffreys left for future generations.

I personally feel that through his years of unrelenting dedicated services to Saint Augustine University, he is most deserving. It would be a tragic decision to dishonor him by doing otherwise.
