Having a truck route around downtown will be advantageous in creating a walkable, more pedestrian friendly civic heart to our community. It will also help outdoor eating experiences by preventing loud and unpleasant odors from hog trucks or those jake breaking.

Especially, the many semis that drive through downtown pull of pigs! Not only can we not have a conversation when driving by because of the noise, but the terrible odor remains and discourages any outdoor restaurant seating!

Needs to extend past the Hostess House. Cars fly past the house!

I think the crosswalk, reduced speed limit, and flashing light would help reduce accidents and noise. A speed monitor might be distracting. I can’t find an obvious alternative truck route.

The Courthouse Square is a loud and inhospitable place because of it being bordered by two busy truck routes.

Yes! Absolutely. It's hard to be outside at all downtown when it's so noisy.

The existing State Road 18 is not suited for truck traffic and the heavy (busy) car traffic.
The streets are too narrow and parking is permitted on the streets. This is dangerous.
The Trucks should be rerouted away from the downtown area and the residential areas in West Marion.

I'm in favor of the establishment of a truck route, but not a bypass.
Any laws must be enforced.
