This isn't right! Me and my family have came to blue plum every year since I was a little girl! We have always had the best of time! We have enjoyed the entertainment, the arts and crafts, all the different kinds of food, and giving the businesses downtown our business!! Now that it's being moved we it's just not the same! All just to make/save a few bucks! Why change something that isn't broken!! Keep it the same! It's not all about money, it's history and childhood for me and many others!!

We desperately need this festival to have the downtown footprint that we have previously had. While the renovated version of the festival is interesting it has numerous deficits and deficiencies taking away the primary goals of the downtown festival. Seems this could be a great solution to bring the festival back to the cornerstone of downtown.

Your changing the way that most of the people are used to getting together with friends and family. Every year we all come together downtown to see people we went to college or high-school with. This is like a huge family reunion for everyone that helps business grow in downtown. Making people pay will dramatically change the venue and hurt the business who need to make money to survive.

Local businesses rely on this weekend for free advertisement and spending to send the festival away from the down town could be a loss to the businesses and city alike in the loss of tax revenue.

I think it should be left downtown, instead of at Founders Park. It's tradition.

Moving the Blue Plum Festival away from downtown is a terrible idea. Johnson City has come a long way in supporting its downtown and local business. Moving the most lucrative festival away from downtown completely undermines all the work that has been done.

I am on the board of several non-profit organizations who felt quite left out of the Blue Plum festival we love to participate in every year. Very much looking forward to joining forces with the Johnson City Downtown Merchants Association to keep up the good work, together.

I have been an avid blue plum volunteer, and attendee for over 10 years- I want to see this come together, expanding the festival is fine but you cannot take it from the businesses that keep our downtown alive every other day of the year.
