Declawing cats is animal cruelty! If a human were to be "declawed" the entire last joint in the finger would be removed. The clawing the couch and window curtains can be avoided if the owner spent about 5 minutes and trim their cats nails or even spray a certain spray that cats don't like to keep them away or even better yet the owner could train them, it's not that hard. It's sick and it's sad what these poor cats have to deal with just to have a place to call home and does not even have a fair fight. So it's pretty much saying that if a person scratched someone or something they have to get a part of ALL of their fingers chopped off. Think about it, look it up and see what I am trying to say.
