Any events held in the park should be fun, educational and suitable for families with all ages. Strongly disagree with this drunken event.

LUOS objects to the granting of a licence fir the Oktoberfest in Down Lane Park as it will cause a great deal of anti social behaviour and will prevent the local community accessing our local park. We are submitting a longer objection by email

I strongly disagree with the use of the community park being used for this event. This is a quiet residential area, with a school sitting adjacent from the park. Having this event here will disrupt the lives of the residents in the area. There will be alcohol involved at the event and the results of any drunk and disorderly persons will affect the families living in surrounding area. This will also create more litter in the local area as those attending won’t always use the bins provided and when leaving the event may leave their rubbish on the streets. The park is also not big enough to host an event like this and it is unfair for the residence to lose the use of the park over the 4 day period.

I object to commercial use of Down Lane Park for Oktoverfest 2019,because of the litter, intoxicated and antisocial behaviour which this event will bring. In addition the path across the park us used by many residents, including me and my kids,on our way to work and school.I understand that this will be closed off and unusable for residents.

4 days of open air drinking in a built up residential area. Who is going to make sure people are safe, police?

This is totally unsuitable for a residential area.

Not the type of event that should be happening in a public park. Haringey Council should be protecting our green spaces for people to enjoy without having to pay for entry or have their community enjoyment pushed aside by tbe commercial event takeover.

I strongly disagree with the use of Down Lane park for this event. The park is in a quiet residential area and is adjacent to a secondary school and nearby primary schools. The park is small oasis in a built up environment for families, children, dog walkers and a place for people to exercise and enjoy peace and relaxation. Why is our local park being used to house such an event that may impact negatively on the neighborhood and residents with large numbers of attendees with the aim of huge alcohol consumption. Surely such an event must be held on land that is either brownfield or away from a residential community area. Please refuse this licence and save Tottenham Hale from this potentially damaging event.

An event like this should be held on brownfield land away from housing - as is being done for the Field Day event up the road this weekend.

I object to using public land for a festival which would restrict access to this space. Our kids play in Downhill all the time! Please reconsider.

The encouragement of a drinks culture within the close proximity of a senior school, primary schools and a nursery that all fall within the Council's Schools Superzone pilot is I believe a sound reason for objecting to this application and appealing to the Licensing Committee to reject the application.

Licence application: Oktoberfest 24 to 27 October 2019 – Down Lane Park – Tottenham I object to the commercial use of the residential local Down Lane Park. The park is too small to hold a large amount of intoxicated people with music till late at night. I do not wish to have a repetition of the Oktoberfest as happened last year at Finsbury Park.
