Douglas L. White seeks the office for U.S. Senator for Tennessee. Doug, born in Erwin, TN., to Robert (Bob) and Ruth White.  Doug and his wife, Kay are the organizers of the Tri Cities Tea Party-912 Group in Johnson City, TN. Doug would bring to this office a business man's view point for balancing a budget, offering to the voters his experience in building a Grocery Store Chain of nineteen stores at the height of his business. Doug is the proud grandfather of six grandchildren and three step grandchildren whom he loves and wants to insure that they will have a better world to live in than the one which is being created at this time in America by greed and power hungry politicials serving self- interest and special interest!  Doug is an every day kind of person with a burning desire to make a difference in the representation he feels the people of Tennessee deserve.  Doug believes in working for what you get and he knows that nothing is free in life. "Someone, somewhere has either worked for what you have or given their life for it". Doug's words are straight and to the point: America is at a crossroad, it has to give up certain entitlement programs in order to preserve the overall Big Picture which is the Picture of America being the Greatest Country in the World. America MUST Pay her debts! We each helped to make the debts, either by foolish spending or by sitting on our couches and allowing others to spend and regulate the money for which we worked for. NOW is the time, no other choices are left, we have to either "pay up" by having some common sense legislators in Congress who can and will balance the budget without printing more paper money, or else we need to "shut up" and let our great country end by default to China and the other countries holding our notes!!! Doug White is a "Regan kind of man" who understands what hard work is and that it is going to take "hard" work and never giving up to bring our Country to the high pinnicle it once was on.
