As a property owner in Douglasville since 2007, I am pleased with the progress that has been made to promote a "new" Douglasville brand. The rezoning proposal is counterproductive to the tremendous progress the council has made and negatively impacts residential and county school traffic. Furthermore, residential property values will decline making our homes difficult to resale. THEREFORE, I VEHEMENTLY OPPOSE THE REZONING PROPOSAL AND STRONGLY ENCOURAGE THE COUNCIL TO STAND WITH US

No on re-zoning and no on industrial business’ taking over our city . There’s plenty of land in this State away from our communities. Use it !

I opposed rezoning of General Commercial district zoned property to LI(Light Industrial) district for +|.64.68 acres. This change cannot be placed directly and observable from my backyard. This development will disrupt my peace and living conditions such as health , safety and devalued of my property. This will also cause a disruption of infrastructure of the ground. I say no to Michael S. Irby c/o Taylor &Mathid inc.

It is unconscionable to even consider disrupting/destroying the peaceful lives, home value, and wildlife of Douglasville with the proposed re-zoning and conversion to a light industrial community. We implore you to reconsider.

It is egregious this is even being considered! Who wants a literal warehouse visible from their backyard?

I definitely don't want the increased traffic, potential for air and water contamination, nor a decrease in my property value. Ask the developers, planning committee, and/or city council member would they want the same for their community and family. Wait for the response.

I remember what the City of Douglasville used to look like thirty years ago. The city was quaint, affordable, community-oriented, and safe. As big business pushes in and the city's need for revenue increases, we ask that you consider the changes that would negatively impact our communities as it has done in the surrounding suburbs of Atlanta. Please show your support for our resident's right to quality of living space over the city's attempt by any means necessary to meet budgetary demands. I ask that you don't approve the rezoning request. Let's keep Douglasville the gem of the Atlanta suburbs.
