To whom it may concern: It is the desire of we, the Undersigned, that screen legend Kirk Douglas be offered the job of hosting the 84th Academy Awards in 2012.
Douglas is one of the most accomplished actors of all time, with ninety-one productions to his credit, including Paths Of Glory and the Oscar-nominated Spartacus. He has received three Academy Award nominations for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his work in Lust For Life, The Bad And The Beautiful, and Champion.
These incredible film accomplishments, together with his sharp wit and irresistible charm, more than qualify him to host the Oscars. We candidly ask that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences consider this celebrated icon of film to guide us through one of the most joyous events of the year: the Oscar telecast.
