Doug Newton, Owner/Artist of the multi-award winning tattoo studio Hellbender Ink Vintage Tattoo is looking for your help. It has been a long 2 years in the making, but he has finally got himself a chance to present his idea of Canada's very first Tattoo TV show to various forms of media including media giant Corus Entertainment.

Many different tattoo shows have been or are currently still running but none of them are based from Canada. We need to have one that we can call our own and to be proud of.

Doug's idea that makes his concept different then what has been produced previously, are the stories told by the clients. Although it's important to have good ink and art work, so is the importance of why the person is getting a tattoo. Every tattoo has a story, whether it's acknowledging the past, the present or where the person hopes to go in the future. Many times, the tattoo heals the heart or sheds light for a new day. Doug wants to have these stories told.

Born in the small but heavily promoted tourist town of Parry Sound, Ontario, Doug realized at an early age that it took all kinds to make the world go around. Showing a flare in his creative abilities at an early age, he won numerous awards in various artistic venues. His contagious spirit and always craving new ways to express himself, tattooing others completes his destiny to leave his mark everywhere he goes.

Doug has worked diligently with hundreds of clients, in various charity events he has held at his shop. The common element of healing and moving forward has been the stories told while sitting in the chair, with many tears being shed along the way. Not all is gloom. Many bright and colourful tattoos carry the cheerfulstories of his clients and the great pieces they take home with them.
