Dorking is a nightmare of a town I have been saying for years it's a crap design something needs to be done to reduce the heavy traffic congestion

Traffic around dorking has got increasingly intolerable since I moved here in 2002. The entrance to lidels is a real bugbear with cars waiting to enter the carpark whilst people sit and wait for spaces causing tailbacks along both roads entering Vincent lane.

Something has to change, before our town dies a death!

It seems that often the whole town is gridlocked. One tailback then causes another and another until they all join together and thebwhole town and its perimeter roads come to a standstill! Something certainly needs to be done.

Intolerable congestion, traffic lights need to be sorted out.

We need double yellow lines just after the bus stop on Vincent Lane as the cars parking there are causing congestion as you can't move into the left hand lane until after them! Thanks.

The situation is becoming intolerable. I work as a carer locally and it has a huge impact on my ability to get to my clients on time. It's also putting people from coming to Dorking .

Traffic congestion in Dorking is at breaking point and the issue seriously needs to be addressed, the only way this can be reduced is to build an alternative route on to the A25 toward Guildford and introduce residents parking only areas to prevent commuter traffic.

This congestion has worsened considerably since the traffic lights were installed outside Waitrose in South Street. Why can't traffic exiting the Waitrose car park turn right from there as it did before therefore negating the need for said traffic lights.

This town is a joke. More and more buildings are going up in Vincent Lane. This road is TOTALLY INADEQUATE to cope as part of a one way system in todays conditions.

I have lived in Dorking for over ten years and The congestion has got significantly worst over the last 2 years to the point on a Saturday where the town is almost at gridlock. The council need to futureproof the town by putting in a considered approach to how they are going to reduce this current situation.

The traffic situation needs sorting out very quickly, before we have more shops having to close.

the congestion in dorking is terrible especially at the junction of Vincent lane / Westcott road ,it doesn't need all those traffic lights there that's whats causing all the congestion ,the mini roundabout which was there before should have stayed there ,the traffic was ok then
