I remember Jake's first year at Granite as a teacher I was in one of his science classes. He was an amazing teacher who made science come alive for me and made me excited about learning. He truly cared for his students and wanted to see them succeed which inspired me to be the teacher I am today. Jake is the kind of teacher, and I'm sure VP that makes a school.

Great guy really saw an impact he made on the students around me. I went Division 1 in track and field and he made it to several track meets and was extremely supportive, great guy, awesome to keep around such a good school

It just doesn't make sense to rip away an individual who has such deep and meaningful ties to a school and community. Granite Hills has a long tradition of valuing those who have built their foundational knowledge and success as an Eagle, and then have chosen to return to the Nest to foster that same growth and success for our youth. Granite is more than just a school. It's a family. We value each other and would hope that the Superintendent could respect this deep rooted connection that Jake has created over the years with students, parents, and staff. I respect the desire to give Mount Miguel the opportunity to create the same sense of community on their campus, but I would respectfully plea that this not happen at the detriment to Granite Hills.

Jake is a critical player in the Granite Hills community. He is a leader both on and off campus. His leadership extends not only to the students but the whole family as well. The Grossmont district is deeply indebted to Jake for all of the years of service above and beyond what was required. It is now time to repay the debt. Honor Jake's years of service by giving him the choice where to work.

You're going to lose a great influence on GHHS without Jake, so leave him be!
