Please take more time to reconsider this rezone. I fear that the proposed maps are not solving anything with the overcrowded schools

Rezoning 60 kids, for the 2nd time in a year is a ridiculous waste of resources. It’s time for Browning and the School Board to go back to the drawing board and come up with a realistic plan to utilize the under capacity schools in the area, to do a thorough address verification and explore all alternatives to a rezone.

Please consider that the small impact on relief vs the huge impact on our children/families. It is not worth it. Please consider the points of our petition.

We moved to LongLeaf in 2007 in order to place ourselves in school that provided our kids with an education we felt was best for them. We’re now being asked to not only go to a different school, but we have to travel much further! We live and breath Trinity. Why should we be sent to a school much further, when kids so much further towards the suncoast will replace us? Poor planning, and not up to standard I would expect our leaders would follow.

We moved in to Ellington six years ago choosing this neighborhood because of the school district. My son attended SSMS for sixth grade and then he was re-zoned to RRMS For seventh grade because he did not make choice. When the court voided the rezone he moved back over to SSMS and now we are being told he will have to move again? My son is very anxious over all of this it is causing him a lot of stress he does not want to leave his friends again or to be further away from home. We are 2 miles from SSMS and it is four times that distance for him to go to RRMS which will not happen because we have had a lot of problems with RRMS because of how they treated our therapeutic foster son. Things got so bad we had to move our foster son to a private school. I will not put my son in a school that treated my foster son so poorly!
I do not understand why children can not go to the schools closest to their homes.
Why waste gas and time taking then further from home? Maybe the school district would like to pay for my son to attend private school since they refuse to let him go to his neighborhood school.

Stop the insanity! Remember the definition of insanity: "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The superintendent needs to stop wasting the tax payers money on more fighting for which he has been proven wrong already and he needs to simply listen to the better ideas that are more economical and less costly and disruptive to the tax payers. He is not going to get any different results this time as he did last time and only waste more money and time and bring more division to the communities he is supposedly serving. Putting aside the frustration and anger the parents feel, think about the kids and their security in a school they can call theirs with friends and teachers that they can learn from and socialize without feeling insecure about changing schools, friends and teachers every year.
