It is a very bad example to raise parking fees in hopes of receiving more funds from violations. That is setting your students up for failure.

I recently graduated. If these changes were being implemented when I was a high-school senior, I would have seriously considered not going to TTU.

The worst part isn't even that they want to increase parking rates, it's that, all along, they continue to admit more students than they can actually accommodate, which continues to put strain on the older students. Older students who know better.

After paying over $5k a year to live in dorms I should have to pay another $155 to park next to them. That's ridiculous.

This is ludicrous. Tech has literally screwed me out of hundreds of dollars in parking. This has gone too far. Paying more for the same thing. We are not your ATM Tech. Stop treating us as such.

Before I came to Tennessee Tech I went to UT Knoxville for a year. One of the biggest reasons why I transferred was because of how expensive it is. I pay for all of my college expenses (that even includes housing, food, transportation, etc.) by myself without help from parents, and that is hard enough as is. UT is one of the biggest schools around, we shouldn't be charging as much as them for things like this at such a small school. Tennessee Tech is known for how affordable it is to go to school, and I can understand needing the funds to add all the new parking. I understand that the campus is growing, but it is ridiculous to be charging this much.

I think this is ridiculous! I work outside of tech in order to pay for school, and even then I still need to get a loan. I need all the extra money I can get! Tech is getting very greedy!

I can't even connect to Wifi at TTU. Why should we be charged another $155? Spend money toward important things. Wifi system, 24/7 fit, and better parking. Parking is already terrible. Why would we want to get charged more?
