Cardinal Ferrão should be punished by the Vatican for favoring idol worship and the hinduisation of the Church in Goa. His cardinal hat should be removed from him and he should be destituted from his munus of Bishop and sent to a monastery to do penance for the rest of his life.

Beware before fully believing media critics like Church Militant, whose first target is to geow his organisation, with strong inflammatory views, often half truths.
Do check proper person or org and you'll find these people write trickily to con people to follow their org, which eventually turns to milking them of donations.
.
What church militant conveniently left out is Jesus own message to his priests to be wise like serpents and not to cause divisions in lands they go, like serpents & doves spread word - needed currently but not worship of Ganesh, nothing wrong in attendance as follows:
When Jesus commands His disciples to go to the people of Israel announcing that “the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matt. 10:7), He gives them a warning and some advice: “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves” (Matt. 10:16).

In the spirit of fraternal correction and love and in the words of Fr. Victor Borde:
"Don't Put Ganesh on Par with Jesus, Cdl. Ferrão," and don't try to replace the "uniqueness and definitiveness" of Christ with a "fruit salad of religions." Jesus is Lord.
God bless,
Thomas

It is important that after the widespread dissemination of photographs of priests directly worshippíng or paying homage to the idol of Ganesh, it is a GRAVE OBLIGATION of the Cardinal Patriarch to condemn these actions and educate the faithful about their sinfulness. The fact that nothing was said AGAINST these actions in the editorial of Renovação constitutes an indirect justification for them, since the faithful might take it for granted that the idolatrous acts perpetrated by priests fall into the category of interreligious dialogue. Hence the grave obligation of the Cardinal to publicly condemn these acts .

The Cardinal Patriarch of Goa is not fitting for the place, since he is not taking any step to defend the faith, but on the contrary is justifying through the archdiocesan magazine the practice of idol worship going on in Goa. Priests worshipping Ganesh is a sin against the First Commandment that must stop. Why the Cardinal is not fulfilling his obligation? Why is he consenting to what is being done? Why there is no solemn and public condemnation of priests worshipping idols? Not a single word of the Shepherd when the wolfs are devoring the flock! This is a betrayal of his mission of Shepherd.

As a catholic we need to spread the good news of love by act of charity and service to the society and nation and not to indulge in worshiping Ganesh . May holy spirit guide us all.
