How many kids are going to get sick from the poison in the lake? Once you put the poison in there will be no way to take the poison out

I can't even imagine the DEEP giving a green light for poisoning this beautiful lake. I hope the other 4 towns combat this ugly idea. I live in Danbury and am strongly against the use of poison.

Ball Pond is careful regarding their use of herbicides and algaecides. We encourage you to adapt our strategies.

New Fairfield needs to put their political agenda aside and start working with the other towns and the CLA. Mr. Hodge needs to go!

I am highly against the use of chemicals to temporarily control the growth of vegetation in the lake.

Herbicides and algaecides are not the answers. NF has already agreed to the introduction of hybrid grass carp. Why aren't they letting this program get off it's feet before poisoning the lake. Perhaps the DEEP should also do a study of lawn fertilizer applications and septic/leach fields modernization of the homes on Candlewood Lake. There is a good chance the blue/green algae is coming from these sources. Poisoning the Lake is not the answer.
