I do not support using any amount of chemicals in Candlewood lake nor do I think our elected officials should be allowed to make these decisions without the consent of the people who are directly affected.

We need to continue to ensure that our efforts to help the lake are coordinated and are not at cross purposes. No town should be allowed to act unilaterally.

I am deeply disturbed at the fact that our NF leadership has displayed such extreme arrogance in thinking "they know best," and are willing to risk the health of our beautiful lake without collaboration with the other towns and experts in lake matters.
I am further disturbed that these leaders have worked on and planned these actions on their own without the input and support of its citizens/stakeholders. Another sign of the "we know best" mindset.
It is time for all if us to speak up and speak out.

New Fairfield needs to financially support and do what the CLA and the other four towns on the lake endorse. No chemicals.

This is ridiculous. The environment is for everyone to share and enjoy, not for a small percentage of people to profit and be lazy.

We're stewards of our land and the lake we live on. The fish and other wildlife that use the lake must come first. There must be a green way to fix this problem.

I'm a resident of New Fairfield and can't believe I actually have to sign a petition against the town putting dangerous chemicals in our lake. Ridiculous that my tax money would be spent this way when better alternatives exist.

This patently irresponsible if it goes forward. I grew up swimming in this lake.
