Hello everyone my name is Javiera Gurdian and today I will give you some reasons on why we should have place for pedestrians and bikers to walk on. Did you know that in the year 2012 only 92 people died from being crashed by a car? That is only in the U.S, imagine now 3 years later.

Once I was in my car and I saw this person just walking in the middle of the road. they almost got crashed by this huge truck, thank god he didn’t. Those moments were in slow motion. I felt so relieved that the truck saw the person and just went past him as well as all the cars.

Every website I looked at said that every person that walks on the streets should have the sidewalk, because they need a place to walk on specially in Nicaragua because about half of the Nicaraguan citizens have to walk long or short distances every day.

Pedestrians have a harsh life because they are risking their life every time they walk on the street because there is almost no space for them to walk on. There has been more than 4,000 deaths of pedestrians just in the year 2013.

They can separate one lane for motorcycles and bikes, then separate it in half. Now the pedestrians will have a place to walk and the bikers will not be crashed.

Now imagine yourself risking every time you want to go walking in the street. Our lives will only happen once, then why should we as our own owners risk our own lives. We need to sometimes be aware of our surroundings and the next people that could possibly make a change for our future.

Now that we have a solution would you sign my petition so pedestrians and bikers won’t be crashed?
