Shame on the city for even awarding the contract to money grabbing outsiders who care nothing for the native culture or Aloha spirit. This is one reason why the island is a shell of the former beautiful and loving community it once was.

Surf in Hawaii should be taught by The Beach Boys! It is for fun but it’s also something serious. New surfer’ can’t just learn for two days then charge pipelines. They’d die, why take away another thing from our culture?

Save The Beach Boys. It is a tradition that should not be lost. They are courteous, knowledgeable, professional, helpful and kind. The Beach Boys taught my family how to surf over the years. Hang ten
