It will not make sense to the many of us that have been going there for years without any issues. We need to share our spot end of story.

As you can planely see there are quite a few more people that use this area.... Safely. What a shame.

So unfair, but until now there has never been anything posted about a no ski zone. So what the heck is this guy talking about??? No one has been wakeboarding illegally!

Katie- I think you are arguing for re- opening the spot to waterskiing? I have to completely agree with all of your references... The main lake can be a very dangerous spot and I'm glad that you've come to recognize skiers need a safe shelter from all of those dangers you've illustrated. If only ANY of them had happened in the safe spot I'm sure your fellow kayakers would be applauding you. Unfortunately, all these articles only further support the need to have the safe area open to towsports. Thanks.

Katie - thank you for recognizing how unsafe the rest of lake havasu is. This is why my son will not wakeboard or ski in the open lake. He only feels safe skiing in the gem referred to as speed ally, just like countless other water sports enthusiasts.
With the logic you have presented the entire lake needs to be a no wake zone and we'll also need to restrict the roadways in and around Havasu to prevent fatal accidents.
