If we pay taxes on the earnings why should there be a ban? People can't afford property taxes without renting out some of their space!!! Don't turn this into San Francisco. We already have the highest number of residents leaving!!

Don't screw up a good thing. 1,000's of people, Airbnb makes it possible for people who could not afford pricey hotels to stilll come visit the city. Come on, don't screw this up!

Amazing how politicians do their best to counter the will of the people. Appalling that this is even an issue. What should be promoted and supported is being condemned. I'm disgusted by this...they should be ashamed.

This means a lot to the city, my family and works! Develop with the new economy or cripple Chicago. We have bigger fish to fry than something that generates revenue, helps families, and showcases the best of our city.

AirBnB brings tourist money to neighborhoods throughout the city that would otherwise not get any. It also allows people with extra space in there home help to pay the mortgage and remain in Chicago.

The city stands to lose so much. Don't take action without better understanding the impact Airbnb has on the city, tourism, and the 5000+ Airbnb hosts. Let's not repeat the debacle of leasing the parking meters or the Skyway. The city council should slow down and think before it acts. Why not hold open and transparent hearings on this matter?
