After going through many hardships about 8 years ago, I took a vacation with my friend to Beograd for several weeks. We were visiting his brother and parents, who were living there as diplomats. Their family is originally from South America, and Casa Garcia was unquestionably their favorite spot. No matter where we went out at night, we always ended up at Casa Garcia until the early morning hours. One night at the bar I found an adorable 3 or 4 month old stray dog, and loved it to much I decided I wanted to bring it home to America with me. The folks at Casa Garcia helped me get everything I needed in order to adopt him.. He came back home to Washington DC with me, and has been an absolute blessing. He helped me get through some of the hardest times in my life, and is now the leader of our pack of 3 dogs. Every amazing moment Ive had with my little Serbian canine orphan меда in the last 8 years, I owe to Casa Garcia. Ive always told my wife that some day I would bring her to Beograd to show her the bar where I found меда, and I truly hope that we are able to persuade Roberto to stay so I can fulfill that promise. Regardless of what happens, please know that you have touched the lives of thousands of people, including mine. Those 4 walls are more than just a bar in my household...they are a very important piece of our family history. Buena suerte, hermano.
