Don't Kill Adobe Fireworks

71 Signatures Goal: 5,000

At its 2013 MAX conference, Adobe Systems Inc. announced that it would be discontinuing development of Adobe Fireworks, a core product of the Adobe Creative Suite. For many information workers, this application is an invaluable tool for rapid prototyping, designer-developer workflow, and the creation of Web graphic assets. This petition will represent the Adobe Fireworks user community and their hope that Adobe Systems Inc. will consider either the continued development of Fireworks or the conversion of the application into an open source project.

As a lightweight, rapid prototyping and design tool without all the heavy baggage of other Adobe tools, Fireworks is my platform of choice for web design work. Adobe need a balance of products; Fireworks perfectly balances their other endeavours in the online design sector. Adobe please continue to support this product and preserve your integrity and my respect for your organisation.
