I just heard on the news this morning that the number of British homeless families has jumped by 300% recently and that there are 10's of 1000's in temporary accommodation like B&B's and hostels. Why aren't families like this being given the same priority as foreign migrants?

Will you protect the local population when these refugees reveals their true allegiance is to I.S.

From the news I am seeing there doesn't seem to be any gratitude or relief at reaching any 'safe' country. Just demands and violence.

It is wrong for a local council to use local finances in this way without the full agreement of those they perport to represent. It is wrong to allow any foreign national, legitimate or otherwise, to simply jump the queue in front of those who are waiting for housing/assistance.

I think we should focus on people in our country instead of people from other countries think of our people that have been made homeless

Everyone please share this, we need to get as many people as possible sign. The other petition that welcomes refugees to the Rhondda Cynon Taff has over 300 signatures.

We're only just recovering from the recession. these people probably can't speak English and so won't be able to work ( not that they want work) they won't be able to contribute to society, they'll just be claiming every benefit under the sun. We already have to many people here claiming housing, job seekers etc we don't need any more. That's without the possibility of terrorism and the fact that they have different values to us. They don't want to intergrate with us they want to take over, they think it's acceptable to marry children and throw homosexuals off of roofs. Don't let them in, we don't want them.

We struggle to house young families how can we suddenly house 50 refugee families who cannot contribute to the system. I pay enough taxes now I cannot afford to have anymore taken off me.

Closing our leisure facilities, closing our hospitals, less and less for our kids to do and you got 1.5 mil to spend on people from thousands of miles away......disgrace

This is disgraceful... a near-bankrupt authority that has the cheek to increase taxes by 3.8 and 4% on low-income, hard-working people, can suddenly find resources for outsiders... while the 'refugees' neighboring countries, many oil-rich, take none.
