After making boatloads of money over many seasons with the live singers and musicians being part of the unique performance aspect of the show, ABC/Disney's decision to dump them in favor of canned music is not only greedy and shortsighted, but insulting to its loyal fans, who have LOVED it BECAUSE of its live performance vibe, not the phony, manipulated, "storyboarded" version that they are now apparently contemplating replacing it with! Come on, DWTS: Don't cheese out on us now!

If DWTS wants to attract more viewers and make the show better, they need to stop manipulating and storyboarding. Not get rid of the live band, which is one of the biggest reasons this show became so successful in the first place - this band is what adds class to this program.

I only catch the show on occasion, but when I do, one of the things I appreciate the most is the incredibly talented musicians who adapt to every style and song and make them sound fantastic. Both different from but honoring whatever original they are covering. Recorded music would take so much life away from the dance performances.

I can't imagine DWTS without the live band. The band makes it such a real event! I will not watch it with recorded music.

By getting rid of the singers and orchestra you cheapen the show. You take away the artistry of what dancing is. I will not watch Dancing with the stars if you do this.
