One does not create revenue by dumbing down the product. Music and dance is your product. Your ratings will suffer from this action.

Please have more respect for the artists and your viewers. Live music is the only way to go, if you want performances and a top rated show.

Nothing sounds better than live musicians! There is a difference between something getting old and tired and something that is classic and never ages!

If ABC/Disney is looking for another way to make live TV as lifeless as Web casts, by all means scratch the live music. The main draw for me to DWTS over the years is unquestionably the live theater experience (both dancing and band and vocals). Think of the music coming out of the stadium boom boxes at ice skating events. How lifeless is that? Well, that's what you'll get: the Ice Capades without the skates. It’s an awful idea, and one can only imagine what besides profits would motivate such a tasteless and fan-insulting decision. And what about the job losses for musicians who find it increasingly tough to get paying work? Very sad.

nothing beats the magic of live and how it touches the soul
I can tell you right now, I'm a big big fan of the show, you've had the greatest formula for success ever, if you cut the lie music, you've cut off one of your star features...take less money from the executives...or enjoy cutting your own throats...live or die...

Dance and music go hand in hand; your dancers react and feed off of the band even more than the energy of the audience. See: the Voice vs X Factor
Please don't do this! The live band is one of the best parts of the show. The "younger demographic" isn't going to care what musicians are playing. If you want them, start casting younger stars they care about.

DWTS stop trying to save money. The great live band is a vital part of the show. Wake up a live band and ballroom dancing go together.
