I feel in worthing and central town area we do not have a great deal of Green space for public that's easily accessible to close locals . The manor park has now been taken over between school hours and until 5 pm in the evenings , wich then in the winter months poses as a threat to the publics safety walking yr dog in the dark . So then there is only homefield park and victoria park left within walking distance to many who live in this area especially people like myself who do not drive and the elderly who cannot walk very far with there dogs .
Also id like to mention that as dog walkers and users of the park with our famillies and friends we take great pride in helping to look after the park , scooping our poop and picking up litter wich is left by others often when we walk there . Yet the park is also used by many locals not just for dog walking .but we have local nursing homes surrounding the area and I myself work in one .We often take a party if our residents to the park in wheel chairs or on foot and they love the wide open space and the view of the park . This in itself is a shame . I feel the park will have its beauty of the space and feild area taken away from it with areas fenced off it will spoil it .
We as a town should take pride in our parks not make them smaller or have ristricter access ... what a great shame it woukd be ! Myself and my family have used this oak fir 20 years .I have 2 children who have grown up using the park and still do . I hope for myself and many others that I know who use it that these areas do not get taken over by the schools . I propose heene school if anything should only have in large fenced off area .yet I feel even that will spoil a well loved park fir so many .. Please don't take our park and destroy it !!!

As a dog owner we are severely restricted in Worthing during the busy months. The fencing off of the park would remove another vital resource for us. Low level fencing of the whole park (by the path) would allow a clear view and a safe space for children dogs and other users. A large ugly fence in the middle of the park would prove more dangerous in the long run re:visibility.

Please bin this ridiculous idea - the schools have used the park since my children were pupils over 30 years ago without incident. There never has been any need for a fence for all these years and there is no need now.
