Stop Cuts to
DC’s FY 16 Budget reduces local funds for the arts and humanities.
The
current city budget fails to adequately prioritize the creative economy.Funding
for the arts and humanities goes out in hundreds of grants to individuals and
organizations that create arts opportunity for all DC residents.
Only when the city invests appropriately in DC residents can the power of our collective spirit be unleashed. We ask that you find a way to not only preserve the FY15 local fund contribution, but increase it to at least $20 million for FY16.
