Waiver is the key component in not only my beautiful niece's growth, but of all families who fight to take care of their loved one with special needs. Without it, many would not have wheelchairs; therefore, no way to attend school, therapy, or even social events. Many children & adults who have a disability could not reach their full potential without proper schooling, therapies, training, exercise, medical procedures, medications, and equipment. It seems as if the special needs community is being targeted by bullies, searching for a so-called 'weak link' to prey on. Little do they know, that behind those people with disabilities are a strong, loving, and determined family who will NOT give up on their loved one. And will definitely not let these bullies take what is rightfully theirs. We will stand up for them & fight for them. It's extremely unfair to prey on those who are unable to stand up for themselves. But we will not stand by and let these precious human beings be treated like nothing special, because these people are special and deserve every bit of assistance they receive to live a happy & full life, just like any other American. It almost seems that these big wig political figures would rather revert back to dark times, when special needs human beings were locked away in a hospital, facility, or asylum - hidden from the free world for being born different; treated as if they serve no purpose, have no feelings, & have no rights like the rest of us. We will not stand by while our precious loved ones are denied their right to proper care & management, to progress and learn & to grow. They deserve a fighting chance, just like any other red blooded American!

Don't take the funding from my brother n sister ... Who is my biggest heroa in life. We didn't come this far for someone to rip away there help n life... Thank u

Please do not cut my son's life line! For my son Josh that would be his 32 hours a week respite, and the 12 hours a day PPL. It not only would effect my son Josh, but also me ad his mother. I am a single parent. I only work four eight hour days out of the home I had to cut it back because Josh was only eligible for 32 hrs respite. So , that's why I am the employee under my son's PPL. I need to be able to work the 32 hours a week out of the home and the 12 hours a day 7 days a week with my son in the home. Otherwise I don't know what we will do! I don't have anyone else that can step up and give me any help. Please don't cut my son Josh's life lines!

Cutting funding to Waiver recipients takes away their ability to live how they are entitled to.Many will end up being placed away from their homes and family due to lack of funding to provide staff and in the long run that will be even more expensive not to mention heartbreaking for all involved.

Please don't cut waiver services to the most vulnerable citizens in WV!! We should be proud of this program and hold it up to other states as an example of keeping disabled citizens in their communities and family homes. These changes will put my son and many others in serious danger. We need help to care for them at home.
