Please don't cut our lifeline! Our services are so important to all of us. Each change impacts so many people inside and outside of our homes. We want to be able to care for our children from the safety and comfort of HOME, not a sterile hospital environment.

I'm a Specialized Family Care Provider with 2 clients. I have to have the previous full respite in order to just care for my clients and to do the training. I need Resite with one client while I'm training with the other one. What am I suppose to do in this situation? I can't leave them unattended. I barely get Respite for myself now, how will I ever get it with this drastic cut in the Respite hours?

These cuts need to stop. Wording has been twisted. People haven't been listened to and nothing but absolute lies have came out of the program heads at the state level. They have continued to mislead the public on numerous occasions with these revisions. Why ? Because they know they are unethical and will be extremely devastating to families. I guess if I was in there shoes I wouldn't want to tell anyone either. Shows the moral and honesty of the individuals that we should be able to trust but can't.

If Bubby's life line is cut we will loose are home and our van to get him to him app. He has 3 app a week ...

I have a 5 year old niece that is disabled , she isn't capable of ever doing anything . The Doctors never expected her to live and still don't understand how she is . I know bc God is in control . She was born with out half of her brain and will never be able to care for her self.

WV is already behind in SpEd compared to many states. How can we be set back further? We are not in full comliance with IDEA and must be.

I am the parent to my disabled 6 year old daughter whom had a stroke in my first trimester. Kaydence (that's my daughters name) has to have my 24/7 care. She can't talk, walk, communicate & when I say that I mean she can't do anything she needs my TOTAL assistance! She also has to be bottle fed and wear diapers. She's not able to attend school home bond is only allowed to come in. Therefor I depend on Wv/Idd waiver to take care of my sweet Kaydence and pay our bills. So I think people needs to look and care about the families a little more with disabled children because trust me our job is 10x harder than yours ever thought about being!! Thanks

My daughter has down syndrome, and the waiver program allows her to stay at home with her family instead of an institution. Waiver helps pay for all her needs. Please don't change or take it away.

This Waiver application and manual is a travesty. The most vulnerable citizens in WV and their families are being hurt because DHHR can't be bothered to find another way to reduce their expenses after years of mismanagement.

We have a daughter that is severely handicap. She requires full attention from her mother and myself. We Keep her 24/7 and she fully depends on us to take care of her. She can't eat drink walk talk or anything. She was born without the front part of her brain. If you cut our lifeline, what will she do. Please think hard about this decision.

My daughter Rowan is a beautiful 8 year old little girl who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy. She is non-ambulatory, nonverbal, deaf, and blind. We home school Rowan and do in home therapies to reduce risk of exposure to illness. Waiver allows me to stay home and care for my child. Without it we would have no choice but to at best employ nursing or worse case have Rowan institutionalized. She deserves a better life than that...please don't cut her life line!

Please don't take is lifeline. My son has Krabbe Leukodystrophy and has two have 24/7 care and I am a single mother that needs help PLEASE don't do this change.
